Join ply.smoreo.net
Xbox, PlayStation and Switch don't let you type in a server address. The steps below set up access once. After that, the server is available from the in-game server list.
Server info
Java Edition: go to Multiplayer › Add Server and enter ply.smoreo.net. No port needed. The steps below are only for consoles.
Consoles do not need Java Edition. A Microsoft account is sufficient.
1. Change your console's DNS
- Open Settings › General › Network settings › Advanced settings › DNS settings.
- Choose Manual.
- Primary DNS:

- Save. The console tests the connection.
- Open Settings › Network › Settings › Set Up Internet Connection.
- Highlight your connection, open its options and choose Advanced Settings.
- Set DNS Settings to Manual.

- Select OK and let the connection test finish.
PlayStation uses a different primary DNS address than Xbox and Switch, as recommended by BedrockConnect.
- Open Settings › Network › Set Up Internet Connection and pick Wi-Fi or LAN cable.
- Choose Custom, then select your network.
- IP Address Settings: Automatic. DHCP Host Name: Do Not Specify.

- MTU Settings: Automatic. Proxy Server: Do Not Use. Then Test Internet Connection.
PlayStation uses a different primary DNS address than Xbox and Switch, as recommended by BedrockConnect.
- Open System Settings › Internet › Internet Settings and select your network.
- Choose Change Settings, then DNS Settings → Manual.

The Switch displays this as 008.008.008.008.
- Select Save.
2. Connect in Minecraft
- Open Minecraft, go to Play, then the Servers tab.
- Select any of the following featured servers. A menu titled ServerList opens instead of the featured server.The HiveMinevilleLifeboatGalaxiteEnchanted Dragons
- Choose Connect to a Server.
- Server Address: ply.smoreo.net. Server Port: 19132.
- Enable Add to server list, then submit.
On later visits, open the same featured server and select ply.smoreo.net from the list.
.Gamertag. The prefix prevents conflicts with Java Edition player names.Troubleshooting
The featured server opens instead of the ServerList menu
The DNS setting has not taken effect. Confirm the addresses, then close and reopen Minecraft. If the problem continues, restart the console.
Can the DNS setting stay in place?
Yes. Other games and apps are unaffected. To revert, set DNS back to Automatic.
Phone, tablet or Windows PC
The DNS change is not needed. Go to Play › Servers › Add Server and enter ply.smoreo.net with port 19132.
"Unable to connect to world"
The server may be restarting. Wait a minute and try again. If the problem continues, contact the server administrator.
